SIX Auditions - Monday, Sept. 14
Steps to audition for the fall play, SIX the musical:
1. Sign up for an audition slot for a specific 10-minute audition for Monday, Sept. 14. The drama bulletin board is near the yearbook room near 2314. If you're in Radium Girls or Almost Maine and can't get the slot you need, talk to Mrs. Jaffe and she'll make sure you can be seen.
2. Fill out the student audition form at the end of THIS PACKET and bring it to your audition.
3. Learn a song from this packet (pick ONE) and prepare to sing it for us Monday, Sept. 14. Music can be found HERE.
4. Learn a monologue from that packet (pick ONE) and prepare to perform it for us Monday, Sept. 14.
5. Have fun
6. We just needed there to be six steps. Have LOTS of fun!

First Drama Club Minutes
Welcome to Drama Club! So glad you're part of our family of performing artists at Central! Here's a quick rundown of what we discussed at our kickoff drama club meeting:
1. Drama Club is a no-cut club of theatre-makers at Central. We meet monthly as a big club, usually on the third Thursday of the month, but there's a Google calendar that you can import if you'd like drama club on your calendar for details. We announced our season! Radium Girls, Almost Maine, SIX, Kodachrome, Jekyll & Hyde! There's so many ways to get involved.
2. Drama Advisory Board (DAB) is our staff-selected group of student leaders that will plan and organize theatre events throughout the year. Applications are extended to be submitted by this Friday, 8/28. It's completely Mrs. Jaffe's fault that the link was funky before. Apply here.
3. Order Drama Club tie dye shirts that we'll dye at our Sept. meeting. Bring cash or check to the Sept. meeting. $20 for a shirt and craft supplies. Order yours here by Thursday, Sept. 3!
4. Think about joining CREW to learn about how the magic happens behind the curtain! Click here to get Crew texts!
5. Auditions for the Novice Show - ALMOST MAINE - are today after school. Anyone new to Central's stage (any grade) are welcome to audition! Audition materials are on the drama club bulletin board outside the yearbook room in the English hallway. Ask Mrs. Abdin for more!
6. Auditions materials for SIX will be available next week and will take place on Monday, Sept. 14 in the choir room. You'll sign up for a 10-minute slot, sing a 1-minute cut of a SIX song, do a 30-second monologue from the show. If you're thinking about it, just do it! Ask Mrs. Jaffe or Mrs. Burkemper for more!
7. Make sure we all go to see and support the September show - RADIUM GIRLS - Sept. 24-26. Put it on your calendar now. It's going to be so special. Ask Mr. Woods for more!
8. If you want to be officially part of Drama Club, please check in to drama club on 5-Star with the code 1234 for our drama club meetings. This is how we show the school district how many kids are involved in our program!
9. You can always check our website, www.hinsdaledrama.com for updates and opportunities. So excited for our year together!

Join Drama Club!
Drama Club is a no-experience required, no-audition club for theater enthusiasts at Hinsdale Central. We meet about once per month, and support our five main-stage shows, as well as doing fundraising, workshops, and theater activities.
